Founded back in 2010, Xiaomi are a Chinese manufacturer that prides themselves on “making quality technology accessible to everyone“. They've become famous across the world for flagship-style phones that don't cost a fortune.
Phase 1 - Insight
50 Instagram SHOUTERS were asked to complete the following actions:
1. Follow Xiaomi.
2. Post 2 consecutive Instagram posts on their story for a period of 24 hours. The first post being a quiz, with the second post being a creative highlighting Xiaomis ‘Like for discount’ Black Friday campaign.
3. Mention @xiaomi.uk in the story and add a caption, prompting their followers to visit the link in their bio and check out Xiaomi.
4. Add a trackable link in their bio.
Phase 2 - Awareness
50 Instagram SHOUTERS were asked to complete the following actions
Produce a 15 second selfie video, highlighting their love of the Xiaomi brand. Placing a focus on community and how affordable the products are. Each influencer will mention @xiaomi.uk, as well as promoting a link in their bio.
We are currently in communication with Xiaomi regarding a 2nd, larger campaign to help market their other products, such as their electric scooter.
