It’s actually relatively easy to find an ambassador to help you with product promotion, but what’s most important is that you choose someone who really reflects what you stand for as a brand.

Look at your current audience and see if there’s someone who really stands out from the crowd. Finding a person who already loves your products or what it is you do will already be familiar with it and they could be just the individual to approach to talk about a partnership.

Another way to do it is to look through the different relevant hashtags relating to your business and see who’s posting and active in the community. Or you could treat it as a proper job application and post an advert out on social media sites to see who responds.

It’s important to understand the distinction between influencers and a brand ambassador. The latter really becomes the face of your business, rather than posting occasionally about your brand.

It may well be that you find influencer marketing a more effective strategy, in which case you should make sure you do enough research to find out which platforms suit your business best and start there.

Also consider the type of influencers you’d like to bring on board, whether you want a nano influencer with less than 2,000 followers or celebrities with millions of them.
