Terms of service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the UniTaskr platform, operated by UniDosh Ltd. (UK) and UniTaskr LLC (US) — collectively referred to as "UniTaskr", "we", "us", or "our". By accessing or using UniTaskr, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Definitions
Company Information
UniDosh Ltd. (UK) — incorporated in England and Wales, company number 09931345, registered office at 2 Duchess Crescent, London, HA7 3GH.
UniTaskr LLC (US) — incorporated in Delaware, registered office at 2055 Limestone Rd STE 200-C, Wilmington, DE, New Castle, US, 19808.
Key Terms
UniTaskr
The collective term for the mobile application and website.
SHOUT
UniTaskr's student influencer marketing service.
Brand
The business utilising UniTaskr
Buyer
Any individual or business seeking services through UniTaskr.
Seller
A student providing services via UniTaskr.
User
Any individual using UniTaskr, including Buyers, Sellers, Influencers, and Brands.
Content
Any text, images, videos, posts, messages, or other material shared by Users on UniTaskr.
Unlock Deposit
The deposit a Buyer pays to unlock a task’s applicants so they can view them and chat with them: 10% of the task budget, capped at £50 (or $50, or the local equivalent, outside the UK). It is credited towards the payment if the Buyer hires.
Service Fee
UniTaskr’s fee on each hire: 6% of the agreed offer, added on top for the Buyer, and 6% of the agreed offer, deducted from the Seller’s payment.
Platform Overview
UniTaskr operates primarily as a task-based marketplace connecting students with businesses and individuals seeking services.
In addition, UniTaskr includes social and community features that allow Users to:
- —Communicate with other students
- —Share content via posts
- —Discover and attend events
- —Engage with a wider student community
UniTaskr acts as a facilitator and does not employ Users or guarantee the availability, quality, or completion of services, content, or interactions.
Users are solely responsible for their interactions, whether related to tasks, content, events, or marketplace activity.
Registration & Eligibility
Buyer & Seller Registration
Registration is free for both Buyers and Sellers, and posting a task is free. Sellers (students) must provide their name, university, a university email address, and a profile picture for verification.
Student Verification
Sellers must verify their student status annually by providing a university email ending in .ac.uk, .edu, or equivalent. Failure to re-verify may result in account suspension.
Account Responsibilities
Users may only register one account and must not share login credentials. Users are responsible for all activity under their account.
Buying & Selling Services
Posting Tasks
Posting a task on UniTaskr is free. Buyers set the brief and budget, and Sellers apply based on their skills and availability.
Unlocking Applicants
To view a task’s applicants and chat with them, the Buyer unlocks that task by paying the Unlock Deposit: 10% of the task budget, capped at £50 (or $50, or the local equivalent, outside the UK). Unlocking applies to that task only and opens chat with every applicant on it. If the Buyer hires on that task, the Unlock Deposit is credited towards the payment.
Payments & Service Fees
When a Buyer hires, they pay the agreed offer plus the Buyer’s 6% Service Fee, less any Unlock Deposit already paid on that task. Payments are processed via Stripe and held in reserve until the Buyer confirms the job is complete. The Seller then receives the agreed offer minus the Seller’s 6% Service Fee. Cash transactions and payments outside UniTaskr are not permitted.
Completion & Ratings
Buyers must confirm the service was delivered as agreed. Users can leave ratings and reviews that impact future engagements.
Tax & Contractor Status
Independent Contractor
Users are independent contractors, not employees of UniTaskr. UniTaskr does not set working hours, wages, or provide materials or equipment.
UK Users
Users are responsible for reporting their earnings to HMRC.
US Users
Payments are processed via Stripe, which may issue Form 1099-K if annual earnings exceed $20,000 and 200 transactions. UniTaskr does not issue Form 1099-NEC and does not withhold taxes.
Taxpayer Responsibilities
Users agree to self-report their earnings and comply with relevant tax laws. UniTaskr is not responsible for tax filings or penalties incurred by Users.
Platform Conduct & Restrictions
Users may not engage in any of the following:
- —Violate any applicable laws
- —Engage in fraudulent activity
- —Post misleading job listings
- —Use UniTaskr for unauthorised commercial purposes
- —Promote violence, hate speech, or illegal activities
- —Post harmful, misleading, or inappropriate content through social features, posts, or events
Failure to comply may result in account termination without notice.
Cancellations & Disputes
Buyer Cancellations
Buyers may cancel before a Seller starts a job. Late cancellations may result in a cancellation fee.
Seller Cancellations
If a Seller cancels after accepting a job, UniTaskr may restrict their account for repeat violations.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes should be resolved directly between Users. UniTaskr may assist but is not liable for resolving disputes.
Payments & Financial Terms
Payment Processing
Payments are processed through Stripe. Users must link a Stripe account to withdraw earnings.
Unlock Deposit Refunds
If a Buyer does not hire any applicant on an unlocked task, they may request a full refund of the Unlock Deposit within 30 days of paying it, through live chat or support@unitaskr.com. The Unlock Deposit is not refundable after 30 days. Once a hire is made on that task, it is applied to that payment.
Task Payment Refunds
Until the Buyer confirms the job is complete, they may cancel the hire and receive a full refund of the payment held in reserve. After completion is confirmed, UniTaskr does not guarantee refunds unless a service was not delivered. Disputes regarding service quality must be resolved between Users.
Liability & Indemnity
Disclaimer of Liability
UniTaskr is a marketplace facilitator and is not liable for disputes, service failures, or user interactions. Users assume all risks associated with hiring or offering services.
Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify UniTaskr against legal claims, damages, or losses arising from their use of the platform.
Data Protection & Privacy
UniTaskr complies with UK GDPR and US privacy laws. Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Events
Users may create, promote, and attend events through UniTaskr. UniTaskr does not organise, host, or take responsibility for events listed on the platform.
Event organisers are responsible for:

- —The safety and legality of the event
- —Any outcomes or incidents related to the event
Attending Events
Users attend events at their own risk. UniTaskr is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disputes arising from participation in events.
Marketplace & Peer-to-Peer
UniTaskr may allow Users to list, discover, and exchange goods, services, or opportunities beyond standard task-based jobs. UniTaskr does not handle payments, delivery, or fulfilment for marketplace transactions unless explicitly stated — all marketplace activity is conducted directly between Users.
Users are responsible for:
- —Verifying the legitimacy of listings
- —Ensuring transactions are lawful
- —Exercising caution when interacting with other Users
UniTaskr is not liable for scams, failed transactions, or disputes arising from marketplace activity.
Changes to These Terms
UniTaskr may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of UniTaskr after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Social Features & User Content
User Content
Users may create, upload, and share content including posts, messages, images, and event listings. By posting content on UniTaskr, you grant UniTaskr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the platform.
Responsibility for Content
Users are solely responsible for the content they create and share. Content must not:
UniTaskr reserves the right to remove any content at its discretion.
Interactions Between Users
Users interact with each other at their own risk. UniTaskr does not verify the accuracy of user-generated content, posts, or communications and is not responsible for any interactions outside of task agreements.
